What is AU FYE Program?
AU FYE Program is referred to all projects and activities organized by the University for freshmen in order to prepare and support them in their studies and university life. The main purpose of AU FYEP is to develop students’ awareness in five areas i.e. academic and intellectual competence, interpersonal relationship, identity and integrated philosophy of life, career and life-style, and personal health and wellness through various initiative activities which will help them successfully live and learn during the first year of university life at Assumption University.

- To assist first- year students to make a successful transition from high school to the university.
- To provide essential knowledge and skills for studying and living in Assumption University.
- To develop students’ awareness in five areas namely academic and intellectual competence, interpersonal relationship, identity and integrated philosophy of life, career and life-style, and personal health and wellness.
- To establish a strong connection between freshmen and seniors; and to become active members of Assumption University community.

AU FYE Program is organized based on two basic themes illustrated in the diagram as follow:
Common University Experiences
We define the Common University Experiences as those events that are required or compulsory for all freshmen to attend.
The Aim: It is aspired that through series of introduction to the mission, values, and community life of the university, students will consider themselves as proud and active members of the unique Assumption University community, commit to shared values and expectations in both learning and way of life.

Intensive Orientation
Intensive Orientation
Project Information: This is an AU open house activity that organized for freshmen and parents. Freshmen will learn more about AU campuses, intensive courses and grading systems, basic rules and regulations, services and facilities, and tips for student adjustment.
AU Care
AU Care
Project Information: It is health checking up and meeting with Student Affairs advisors. Students are required to do tests covering psychological and physical aspects. They also meet advisors from Student Affairs who will be their personal advisor and supporter throughout the next 4 years.
AU Orientation
AU Orientation
Project Information: This is an official event for warm welcoming freshmen as new members of AU community by Rector Magnificus, AU executives, faculty members and senior students. As it is said, “Well begun is half done”; thus here Academic Affairs and Student Affairs put much effort to provide crucial knowledge and information concerning freshmen on the orientation day.

AU Camp
Project Information: Be a part of AU community. The Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) organizes this event to promote strong relationship between freshmen and seniors and also right attitudes towards university. Freshmen will get to know each other and enjoy fellowships with friends and their seniors through various activities.
Wai Kru Ceremony

Project Information: This event is organized by the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) to show appreciation and preservation of Thai cultures. The significance of this event is to show gratitude and respect towards teachers as well as to recognize the achievers and student leaders.
Advising
Academic Advising Days
Project Information: This is a required activity for all freshmen before registering for the new semester. To ensure students success in study, the academic advising is a mechanism for students to consult with academic advisors on their study plan and academic programs in order to choose the right subjects and minimize any registration mistakes due to inadequate academic information and also to develop strong relationship with their academic advisors.
Extra-Curricular Experiences
We define the Extra-Curricular Experiences as those opportunities offered especially to freshmen so that they may receive academic support outside the classroom, become aware of the variety of resources the campus offers, and actively engage in the community life of the university.
Unlike the Common University Experiences, the Extra-Curricular Experiences are optional. Students are encouraged to participate at their interests and abilities.
The Aim: Students become actively involved in the campus/community and receive specific support networks and information about resources that best meet their needs. Students see themselves as active participants and leaders fostering the standards and identity of Assumption University.

Project Information: Here is a fantastic chance to discover activities of your interest! More than 50 clubs open their booths to provide freshmen with information such as music, dance, photography, environmental conservation, oratory and personality, football and many more. All clubs blow their bugles to welcome new members.

Project Information: Teamwork and unity behind success is the key theme in this activity. This is a time to open your mind and become one with friends, seniors and faculty members, and be proud of your faculty. Meaningful activities are lined up for fun, joy and happiness. You are not alone in AU.
English for All
English for All
Project Information: English for All offers an opportunity for freshmen to join the program for free of charge. During 7 weeks of the course, ,members enjoy variety of fun activities to promote English communication skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing based on the 7 steps to English Proficiency by Rev.Bro.Dr.Bancha Saenghiran, Rector Magnificus.

Project Information: Refresh your mind and refresh your AU Spirit. Participate and vote for Prince and Princess of AU. The winners will be AU ambassadors and get valuable prizes. This is reserved for freshmen only to express their talents in performances and communication. All are invited to enjoy exquisite shows by students and special guest artist, cheer competition and many more.
The Smart Successor
The Smart Successor
Project Information: this is an opportunity to follow your dream. Student will be trained to become AU Smart Successors. Be inspired to become successful entrepreneur by alumni who are real successors in various fields of career. Freshmen will learn about career goal setting, choosing appropriate major and career passport.
