On 19 June 2015, two student teams from School of Biotechnology, Assumption University, advanced to the FINAL round of Food Innovation Contest 2015. This year competition was under the theme of “Innovation of Healthy and Tasty OTOP Food Products for AEC” which was organized by FoSTAT, Thailand. There were 15 final round competitors who presented their developed products to the judges. Two teams of AU students applied to the competition and both of them passed through the final round under the brand products of “Riceberry Dumpling Ice Cream” and “Frozen Kao Yum Burger”. 

One of the teams from “Riceberry Dumpling Ice Cream” group won the competition for the 2nd Runner up Award from the contest.     

The product from the group was choscn to be presented as a representative innovative product as the ASEAN Food Conference 2015 in the Philippines on 24-26 June 2015.
